Robotics Competition at Winchester Science Centre 14th December 2017

The Robotics team took part in the southern tournament of the International First Lego League Competition and came home with a trophy for best research and presentation.
This years theme was HydroDynamics so the research had to be on a way we get, use or dispose of water.    We looked at a way to locate leaks in water pipes to reduce the amount of ground that needs to be dug up to repair the pipe. We then had to present our findings and suggestions to a panel of judges. We also designed, built and programmed a Lego robot to try to complete a range of 'missions'- Lego models of water related items.  The competition is open to 9-16 year olds so most teams were from secondary schools but we still did very well and are very pleased with our trophy and medals.
